‖ hao, n.|hau| Pl. unchanged or (anglicized) haos. [Vietnamese hào, f. Sino-Vietnamese hào (Chinese háo) one hundredth of a (Chinese) ounce.] In Vietnam, a monetary unit equal to one-tenth of a dong, introduced in 1885 and formally discontinued by 1986; a coin or note of this value.
