▪ I. handled, a.|ˈhænd(ə)ld| [f. handle n.1 and v.2 + -ed.] Furnished with or having a handle: esp. with defining word, as long-handled, ivory-handled. Used in Heraldry when the handle of a tool or weapon is figured of a different tincture from the blade, as ‘a sickle or, handled gules’.
