ˈalfridary Astrol. [Of obsc. orig.; cf. Arab. faraḑa, ‘cernere,’ to cut into, define, decree, also to define beforehand a time, to fix on an hour; whence fariyḑah, n. a fixed and defined part. The -aria must be Romance ending.] (See quot.)
