Hagarene|hægəˈriːn| [ad. L. Agarēn-us, f. Agar, Hagar.] A reputed descendant of Hagar the concubine of Abraham and mother of Ishmael; an Arab, a Saracen. Also applied in a transferred sense (from Gal. iv. 22–31): see quots.
