‖ habeas corpora Law. [L. = thou (shalt) have the bodies.] 1. More fully habeas corpora juratorum (i.e. of the jury): a process formerly issued out of the Court of Common Pleas, directing the sheriff to compel the attendance of reluctant jurymen.
