gyroscopic, a.|ˌdʒaɪərəˈskɒpɪk| [f. as prec.: see -scopic.] Pertaining to or of the nature of the gyroscope; rotatory. Also gyroscopic compass = gyro-compass; gyroscopic couple (see quot. 19592).
