gynophore|ˈdʒaɪn-, ˈdʒɪnəfɔə(r), g-| [f. gyno- + Gr. -ϕορ-ος bearing. Cf. F. gynophore.] 1. Bot. The pedicel or stalk which in some flowers supports the ovary.
