▪ I. gusle|ˈgʊslə| Also gusla, gustlé, guszla, guzla. [Serbian.] A bowed stringed musical instrument found in the Balkans, usually having only a single string, and used chiefly to accompany and support the chanting of the epic poems of the southern Slavs.
