Gurung, n. and a.|ˈgʊrʊŋ|
[Of uncertain origin, perh. Tibetan. Gurung is not a self-designation (the people refer to themselves as Tamu or Tamu-mai), and seems to be used only in Nepali.]

a. (A member of) a people principally of western Nepal, noted for their military prowess.
b. The language of the Gurung people, sometimes classified as Tibeto-Kanauri or as Bodish (Sino-Tibetan).
B. adj. Of or pertaining to this people or their language.
