▪ I. gunny|ˈgʌnɪ| Also 8 goney. [a. Hindi and Mahratti gōn, gōnī:—Skr. gōṇī sack.] a. A coarse material used chiefly for sacking and made from the fibres of jute or (in some parts) from sunn-hemp; a sack of this material.
