gulose Chem.|ˈgjuːləʊz, -s| [a. G. gulose (Fischer & Piloty 1891, in Ber. d. Deut. Chem. Ges. XXIV. 521), f. glucose by omission and transposition of letters.] An artificial hexose sugar, C6H10O6, which is stereoisomeric with glucose.
