An instrument for the mechanical grooming of horses (see quot.).

▸ A machine (usually a vehicle or attachment for a vehicle) used to prepare the snow on a ski-slope, snowmobile trail, etc., esp. by reducing or increasing compaction as required and providing the snow surface with a smooth finish. Also more fully snow groomer, trail groomer.
