unˈban, v. (Formerly at un-2 3.) [un-2 3.] trans. To remove a ban or prohibition from (a publication, person, group, etc.); to lift official restrictions on. Freq. in political contexts. So unˈbanned ppl. a.; unˈbanning vbl. n., removal of a ban.
