1. A draught, gulp (of liquor). ? Obs.
The phrase six go-downs on reputation in quots. 1690 and a 1705 app. refers to some customary rule among drinkers that each one must take off his liquor in so many draughts, if he wished to maintain his reputation as a drinker.
