Ubangi, n. (and a.)|juːˈbæŋgɪ, uː-| [The name of a river between the Central African Republic and Zaïre.] (A member of) a group of peoples inhabiting the Ubangi region of Central Africa. Also attrib. or as adj. The women of the Sara tribe of the Ubangi are noted for wearing ornamental lip-platters which distend their upper lips.
