Ubaid Archæol.|ʊˈbaɪd| [f. the name of the tell Al῾Ubaid near Ur in the Euphrates valley.] Used attrib. of the culture thought to have flourished throughout Mesopotamia in the fifth millennium b.c., and of the artefacts associated with it.
