ahuehuete, n.|ˌæhweɪˈhweɪteɪ| [Mex. Sp., ad. Nahuatl ahuehuetl, f. huehue old + atl water.] A Mexican swamp cypress, Taxodium mucronatum (family Taxodiaceae), which can attain great girth and is important for the production of medicinal resins and timber.
