‖ Georgium sidus|ˈdʒɔːdʒɪəm ˈsaɪdəs| [mod.L. Geōrgium, neut. f. L. Geōrgius George + L. sīdus star.] One of the greater planets (now called Uranus), so named by its discoverer, Sir William Herschel, in honour of George III (see quot. 1783).
