1769E. Bancroft Guiana 387 The infectious matter..produces subcutaneous sores, which are called Tubboes. 1822–34Good's Study Med. (ed. 4) II. 432 When the tumours point from the soles of the feet, they cannot press through the thickness of the skin, and hence form imperfectly, and produce highly elevated calluses, which are called tubba or crab-yaws. 1898P.
