tscheffkinite Min.|ˈtʃɛfkɪnaɪt| Also tschev-, and (after Ger. spelling) tschewkinite. [See quot. 1868 and -ite1.] A rare mineral, a silicate containing titanium, iron, and the metals of the cerium group, occurring in velvet-black masses.
