Galalith|ˈgæləlɪθ| Also written with lower-case initial letter. [Gr. γάλα milk + λίθος stone.] A proprietary name for a product resembling celluloid made from the casein of milk with the addition of other substances, used as a substitute for horn, celluloid, ivory, etc.
