1599Jas. I βασιλ. Δωρον (1603) iii. 124 To gage so much of his owne money, as he pleaseth, vpon the hazarde of the running of the cardes or dice; as well as he would doe vpon the speede of a Horse or a Dog, or any such like gaigeour. And so, if they be vnlawfull, all gaigeours vpon vncertainties must likewayes be condemned. |
