trisulph-, trisulpho- Chem.|traɪsʌlf, traɪsʌlfəʊ| [f. tri- 5 + sulphuric.] A formative of the names of carbon compounds containing three SO2 groups, or three SO2.OH groups, and derivatives of the latter. (trisulphone, and trisulphonic, with trisulphonate, now also express these meanings.)
