trioxan Chem.|traɪˈɒksæn| Also -ane |-eɪn|. [f. tri- + oxa- + -ane.] A cyclic trimer of formaldehyde, ({b1}CH2·O{b1})3, obtained as colourless, pliant crystals that are combustible and very volatile at room temperature.
