fulgorid, n. and a. Ent.|ˈfʌlgərɪd| [ad. mod.L. Fulgoridæ, f. the generic name Fulgora, a. L. Fulgora goddess of lightning, f. fulgur lightning: see -id3.] A. n. An insect of the homopterous family Fulgoridæ which includes the lantern-flies. B. adj. Belonging to this family.
