triglossia, n. Linguistics.|traɪˈglɒsɪə| [mod.L., f. tri- + diglossia n.] A situation in which three languages with differing functions co-exist within a speech community, usu. represented by a regional (or vernacular) form, a standardized lingua franca, and an international language.
