▪ I. † ˈfruster, a. and n. Sc. Obs. Also frustar, -ir, -yr. [? Back-formation from fruster v. or frustrate.] A. adj. Fruitless, ineffectual, meaningless, vain; empty of (deeds). Also absol. in fruster: in vain.
