‖ Fructidor|fryktidɔr| [Fr.; f. L. frūct-us fruit + Gr. δῶρον gift.] The twelfth month of the French revolutionary calendar (from Aug. 18 to Sept. 16); the revolution which took place in that month in 1797. Hence Fructidorian, a., belonging to the party that came into power in Fructidor.
