trevorite Min.|ˈtrɛvəraɪt| [f. the name of T. G. Trevor (1865–1958), South African geologist and mining official + -ite1.] A black, magnetic, isometric oxide of nickel and ferric iron, NiFe2O4, belonging to the spinel group.
