trehalase Biochem.|trɪˈhɑːleɪz| [ad. F. tréhalase (E. Bourquelot 1893, in Bull. de la Soc. mycologique de France IX. 194): see trehala and -ase.] An enzyme which catalyses the hydrolysis of trehalose to two molecules of glucose.
