framboise, n. and a. Also 6 framboye, 6–7 frambois, -boys. [a. F. framboise (from 12th c.), usually regarded as a corruption of Du. braambezie = Ger. brombeere blackberry, lit. bramble-berry: see bramble, broom, berry. But some French scholars doubt this.] †A. n. The raspberry (Rubus Idæus). Obs.
