tranquillityite Min.|træŋˈkwɪlɪtɪaɪt| [f. the name of the Sea of Tranquillity on the Moon, where the mineral was first collected: see -ite1.] A silicate of ferrous iron, titanium, zirconium, and yttrium, Fe8(Zr, Y)2Ti3Si3O24, occurring as dark red laths with a hexagonal crystal structure and found only on the moon.
