fly-through, n. and a. Brit. |ˈflʌɪθruː|, U.S. |ˈflaɪˌθru| [‹ fly v.1 + through prep. and adv.] A. n. 1. Astronaut. A flight by a spacecraft through a particular area, esp. the tail of a comet, for the purpose of observation. Cf. fly-by n. b, fly-past n.
