proboscidiferous, a.|prəʊbɒsɪˈdɪfərəs| [f. L. proboscid-em proboscis + -iferous.] Bearing or having a proboscis; spec. in Conch., belonging to a division of pectinibranchiate gastropods (Proboscidifera) characterized by a long retractile snout.
