toplofty, a. humorous colloq.|ˌtɒpˈlɒftɪ, -ɔː-| [app. f. top n.1 + lofty a., or f. top loft: see prec.; said in Farmer Slang to be of American origin.] Lofty in manner or character; elevated; haughty, ‘high and mighty’. Hence topˈloftiness.
