Fehling|ˈfeɪlɪŋ| The name of Hermann von Fehling (1812–1885), German chemist, used attrib. or in the possessive to designate an alkaline solution of cupric sulphate and Rochelle salt used in sugar analysis; also ellipt. Hence Fehling('s) reaction, Fehling test.
