Feculose Chem.|ˈfɛkjʊləʊz, -s| Also feculose. [f. fæcula + -ose2.] Proprietary name for an acetylated starch made by heating dry starch with glacial acetic acid and formerly used as a substitute for gelatine and vegetable gums.
