thymopoietin Biochem.|ˌθaɪməʊpɔɪˈɛtɪn| [f. thymus + -o + Gr. ποιητικ-ός (see poietic a.) + -in1.] A polypeptide hormone secreted by the thymus which stimulates the development of thymocytes.
