theriogenology, n. Vet. Sci.|ˌθɪərɪəʊdʒəˈnɒlədʒɪ| [f. therio- + -gen + -ology: proposed by Dr. Herbert M. Howe (1970), Professor of Classics, University of Wisconsin.] That branch of veterinary science which deals with the reproductive systems of animals.

The same term was suggested by another classical scholar many years ago at the University of Minnesota.
