eximious, a. Now rare.|ɛgˈzɪmɪəs| [f. L. eximi-us excepted, select, choice (f. eximĕre: see exempt v.) + -ous. Common in 17th c. literature: the few examples in 19th c. are humorously bombastic or pedantic.] Excellent, distinguished, eminent.
