teschenite Geol.|ˈtɛʃɪnaɪt| Also teschinite. [f. Teschen (see def.) + -ite1 1 b.] A name given to certain eruptive rocks, occurring at Teschen in Silesia and elsewhere, intercalated and intrusive in the Cretaceous formation. Used by different geologists with very varying extension.
