‖ adminiculum Nat. Hist.|ˌædmɪˈnɪkjʊləm| Pl. -a. [L.; see adminicle.] 1. Entom. In pl. Kirby's name for the short spines or teeth on the abdominal segments of certain insects, pupæ or grubs, whereby they make their way through any substance in which they burrow.
