A variety of diallage, tinted variously from greyish- or greenish-white to olive-green and brown.
1857C. U. Shepard Min. 425 Enstatite..in prisms, resembling pyroxene or scapolite. 1879Rutley Stud. Rocks x. 120 Enstatite also affords two other directions of less perfect cleavage.
