† ˈtalewise, a. Obs. Also 4 talwis, talewys, 5 -wijs, 6 -wes. [f. tale n. + -wīs, from OE. -wís, from wíse, wise n., manner, way; cf. rihtwís righteous.] Given to tales or talking; addicted to gossip; loquacious, garrulous, blabbing.
