electrocoat, n. Manuf.|ɪˈlɛktrəʊkəʊt| [f. electro- + coat n.] A coating process in which the object to be coated forms one of the electrodes in a tank containing a colloidal suspension of particles of the coating, which migrate by electrophoresis. Usu. attrib.
