syntonize, v. Electr.|ˈsɪntənaɪz| [f. syntonic a.2 + -ize.] trans. To make syntonic; to ‘tune’ or adjust to the same or corresponding frequencies, as a transmitter and receiver in wireless telegraphy. Hence ˈsyntonized, -izing ppl. adjs.; also ˌsyntoniˈzation, the action of syntonizing; ˈsyntonizer, an apparatus for syntonizing.
