rauli|ˈraʊlɪ| [Amer. Sp., f. Mapuche ruili.] A deciduous tree resembling a beech, Nothofagus procera, belonging to the family Fagaceæ and native to temperate regions of Chile and Argentina; also, the reddish hardwood timber of this tree.
