sylviine, a. Ornith.|ˈsɪlvɪaɪn| [ad. mod.L. Sylviīnæ pl., f. Sylvia: see sylviad and -ine1.] Belonging to the Sylviinæ, either as a synonym of Sylviidæ reckoned as a subfamily of a larger family, or as a subfamily of Sylviidæ comprising the warblers of the Old World.
