Of, pertaining to, or derived from the waxy resin of an Australian species of fig, Ficus rubiginosa; as in sycoceric acid, a crystalline compound, C18H28O2; so sycoceric alcohol, sycoceric aldehyde. So sycoˈceryl, the hypothetical radical of the sycoceric compounds (also attrib.); hence sycoceˈrylic a. = sycoceric.
