ADAS|ˈeɪdæs| [f. the initial letters of the Agricultural Development and Advisory Service.] A service set up in 1971 (in place of the National Agricultural Advisory Service) under the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, to advise farmers and growers, to undertake research and development, and to advise and assist in Government policy measures, in matters relating to agriculture, land use, etc.
